3rd Degree Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt .

Serving both as our esteemed owner and head mentor, Professor Kevin Hosseini currently holds a 3rd degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. In 1998, Professor Kevin was initially introduced to the world of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the young age of 12.  This pivotal event influenced his life in such a way that the core values he was exposed to molded him into the man that stands before you today. His purpose in life was forever changed for the better.  He seeks to highlight the true potential of every disciple under his care, adopting the philosophy that there is promise within every spirit willing to learn.

Training under the tutelage of the legendary Master Fabio Santos, he quickly rose through the ranks of Jiu-Jitsu, becoming a prominent figure within the greater San Diego region.  At the age of 16, Professor Kevin was entrusted with a much more active role within Master Fabio’s Academy. As a teacher, he taught and encouraged students both within group classes, as well as private lessons.  Due to maintaining a balanced, but rigorous, routine of daily training and teaching, Professor Kevin excelled at the art of Jiu-Jitsu, becoming a high-level competitor and respected instructor throughout multiple ranks. 

In 2008, at the young age of 22, Professor Kevin reached a momentous milestone within his career and received his black belt from Master Fabio Santos.  It is his belief that the achievement of his past accomplishments and current day success are due solely to the principles and discipline obtained throughout his Jiu-Jitsu journey; including earning a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Civil Engineering from San Diego State University.   

Presently, Professor Kevin serves as a full time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and self-defense instructor in Ramona, CA.  He holds himself to the highest standards as he continues to train each and every day in order to compete worldwide.  Striving to constantly build upon his skill set, he understands that there is always room for growth in this ever-evolving sport.   Not only has Professor Kevin gained many IBJJF titles within the rank of black belt, but his students have also won multiple IBJJF titles and IBJJF world titles, representative of the competitive creed and lineage in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. 

Professor Kevin and his wife, Whitney, have celebrated 10 years together.  They currently have two children, Kayvan and Emilia. Alongside their team of instructors, Kevin and Whitney work hard to offer the highest standard of Martial Arts to Ramona.
